Wow, it's been a while, hasn't it?

Sadly being at uni has meant I haven't had a lot of time to create anything to put up on here, I promise I'll produce something soon!

In the meantime, you might be interested in something else I've been doing:

Earlier this year I received a newsletter from Nat JM asking for singers to collaborate with. I had never really sung in front of people before, with the exception of one or two individuals, so I was a little unsure, but I'd been taking a few singing lessons and decided to go for it. After moving to London in September, we met up and I went to her house to record a song called 'When You Smile' which I'd learned a couple of months beforehand.

I was very nervous as I've never done anything like it before, but it was so much fun! We did 3 takes and Nat's been working on the track since - I think she's done a wonderful job, the song sounds fantastic and I'd really love to take this time to thank her for the amazing opportunity she's given me. We're hoping to work on some more tracks in the future.

Ok so I thought I should probably update this thing. I used to be a journal whore and my first journal on this account has lasted nearly 4 months.

So yeah... For those of you who knew me as DesignerFreak, this might make a bit more sense - My muse has finally come back to me after... ooh... 4 years???!!!111

I used to write all the time and filled my gallery up with crappy poems and things, but eventually I realised that they were absolutely feeble and it's like my muse ran away out of shame.

But alas, my friends, he has returned to me. No doubt he has a tan, has grown a few inches and is full of new ideas!

I think I can mainly thank my obsession with the Soul series...

I know people generally don't read most written deviations but I do beg of you, please give it a look and tell me if I should just give up and send my muse on another 4 year holiday.

Salut à vous!

Some of you may remember me as DesignerFreak from a million years ago, but now I'm back, in less black and raring to go!

I left DA because I'd lost interest in art (the practical side, at least) and needed to concentrate on other things, but I've rekindled my love for my creative side and I knew I had to come back here.

In all honesty, I missed it. I missed the community and wanted to be involved again!

I won't bore you with absolutely everything I've done since I left, but I'll summarise:

I'm working as a receptionist while I finish off my French A-Level and am off to UCL in September, studying French and History of Art.

My painting has improved dramatically, and I'll post up a picture in a minute to prove it - It got me a couple of commissions over the winter, so I've officially sold a couple of paintings, which was something I always wanted to do.

I haven't been able to paint since I moved out of my dad's though, because I had to leave all my materials behind, but I'm moving again at the end of the month and will be taking them with me, so fingers crossed I'll be painting again this summer.

I'll stop rambling now, but I hope to catch up with people soon.

It's great to be back, so please feel free to have a flick through my new gallery - I shall be updating it soon.
